5th of Oct...remarking my first day entering the PhD studies life...with a slip of time, is already one year...previously been busy with my first year report, and now is submitted and waiting for Dr. Cosmas (internal assessor) to give feedback on my "simple" report...look back...this is not a good report that I could have produce...as my mind set is just to "pass" the assessment, this "simple" report is the end result...

After seeing Shamini for sometimes, really can see my weakness and trying hard to improve it now...she advise me to take some rest before go for full blast again...and I am wondering...what is the state of my mind right now? I really never feel pressure building up...but is not entirely relax...w.t.hack...

this is the "thing" I need to submit annually...

August gone and near September's end...

After skipping 2 weeks from seeing my boss, finally I managed to get my first year report first draft done and sent to him in the morning. After taking less then 5 min scan thru it, he shrink his eyebrow and say:

"Everything is fine except the literature review. Did you discuss why you use SIDF method? Have you compared other methods with SIDF method? Where is Atherton's paper that you show me? Did you do reference on it?..."

Actually I always wanted to say yes...I actually does compare and even include the Atherton's paper in my review, but look at his face, I really give up explaining myself and will just accept his comment, trying to modified and add more references....

Ok, is time for some update from last month...

"Busy here and there...running up and down..."

That's the phrase of last month (August 2010)

In early Aug, I went to YZ's graduation ceremony...then my machine give some problems (programming problem, and glad to have Wisnu come over and teach me more advance LabView programming. Now I am able to speed up and control my input in a more precise way.)...late Aug, went Penang once again with 4 other buddies...had nice meal, great chilling time well spent on that weekend...

After returning from the trip, I pay full attention on my report...and finally done the draft in 2 weeks delay on my own deadline...now I am concentrate on proof reading and trying to add more literature review in to it...hopefully i can done with the modification before 4th Oct and submit before or on my official deadline on 5th Oct 2010...

After working on my report, I just realize that how shallow I know in the controller field...that is another reason I never reply to him when he ask about my literature review...there are so much that I am still not sure about...I am thinking I might learn faster when I try to use that particular controller...

Glad that boss send to to Sham and she identified me having mild dyslexia which stopping me reading in the part...luckily I went to see Sham before I start my report...without her guidance, I doubt I will still struggle to finish my draft right now...

Yesterday edited tonnes of picture from the Penang trip...feel so great and "hand itchy" to take more picture...but sadly...I would not have such pleasure to edit picture like before....

July updates...

Last post was in late June...aiz...busy month again...

Many things happen...mixture of great happiness and deep sadness.

Finally she manage to wear her grad rob and be the first one in her family to posses a degree...proud that we support each other to walk past all the 3+4 years...really having great memories and appreciate that you are there when I am down...seeing your growth is enjoyable too. Is really sorry that I could not take the "thing" anymore, is not that I dun give you chance, not I dun love you, but this is all too much for me to forgive...really you learn from this...

Finally, the time comes and I realize my self awareness is not sensitive yet. Is quite hard to be mindful when so many good and bad memories floating about...and you will just dwell into it...but I think I am improving...hope that I can take this opportunity practice and improve myself...

Boss take the call and ask me why my progress are so slow...and we did some chat about it...hope we can have more conversation like this...get to know each other well can help my progress too...he suggest me to meet Shamini to talk about my problem...is really great that I am able to speak to her and express my worries and problem to her...is like releasing knob on over pressured tank...

working progress...not good in general...but I am trying my best to pull me back from staying behind schedule...finally get to input my controller inside my machine...it works reasonable...but there is a need to improve the sampling time...nx task will be the need to work this out...machine wise...small gear having some back lash problem...and sent back to Advancemation for further mod...hopefully can get it back early next week. In the mean time...boss asked my to write a paper for a conference on Dec this year...hope I can get it done by this week and then continue my first year report...

Updates....long long updates...

View back my blog and realize the the last was posted in late April...it has been soooo so long ago...is this a good sign?proved that I am busy working??or playing??

Ha...I think is a mixture of both...work hard and play hard...

there are a few events that I wish to record down here...

1.) First time being a bridegroom'd personal driver....having fun all day in YuKheng's wedding...

2.) first time shooting in "fast moving" object...went to an Air Show back in Melaka few weeks back. It was fun, but sadly...I got the wrong setting for panning...used shutter priority but never turn on "ServoFocus"...so is kinda slow in capturing the airplane...zzz...but is great to know new friends and too...learn so many things in a single day...

3.) Been hearing KK and SW talking how stunning is the view in SBS and finally...last week I manage to took 2 days off and went for SBS Adult Dharmma Camp...thanks to SW parents for picking me up from train station and belanja me a great great dinner before I go up hill....

spent a nite in SW's relative's empty house...nx morning sis LayHoon brought me for a Dana session at the foothill of SBS...this is my first time joining Theravadian style Dana session....and really cant understand what they speaking...for sure I cant understand Pali...but when they speak in Hokkien...I cant understand too...strange enough...=_="...(P.S. Bhante can only speak Hokkien and majority ppl in Taiping do speak Hokkien...but accent is different from what MelakaN use to speak...)

After Dana, a 4x4 drives us up to SBS...the road is very bendy and steep...is quite a tough road....

spent 3 nights up there with stunning views, friendly ppl, good food, and interesting talks by Bhante Kumara...sad that I could not join the retreat before the ADC...coz as Bhante said, we need to clam down our mind to be able to absorb input from ADC...when I am about to settle, is the end of the ADC already...wat a waste...but more or less, I do pick up something from the ADC...and I can really feel the changes with others...especially relationship with my lovely boss...and my thinking too...

4.) I missed most of my norm Wesak celebration since I come back from UK. And this time, I celebrate in a different place...Nalanda Institude Serdang...

Bunch of NBS friends went there together in Wesak Eve's...after the renovation, Nalanda has become another stunning building with simple design and lot's of small little details...

5.) Went for MG's performance...to be honest, the performance is okok only....food are sucks to the max...but is good to see "her" doing what she wanted to do all this while....but the bloody insulting host is a rubbish A**H***...

6.) After so many attemp on "bukit High Voltage" I manage to bring my cam to hunt for a few nice pic...

Went to sing k at the same nite....having crazy cam whoring session there too...

7.) KE and KY both been asking me to bring them to mlk for a say trip...and finally I managed to bring them back this time...I think is a school term...so...having 2 weeks holiday....daddy, mummy, ah vin and ah long all went to "HupNyan" together with MS and ah qing auntie's family...so...whole house are techincally empty....having great fun there and unveil some secret too....

This post is like a combo update from the past...hopefully I can keep my paste up and do more frequent update over here....

Friday Bluuees...

After so many months, my machine still staying dead there. What a dramatic week I had...on Tuesday, Wisnu decide to pay a visit and help me out on the machine. ~12pm, he manage to make the machine moved. ~3:30pm, he manage to burn one of the compartment. This incident can be concluded with famous mandarin phrase :"一场欢喜，一场空"...with an expression of o_0...

Anyway, been travelling up and down PJ for 2 days in a week...and the 3rd trip is in the greenlight mode...as yesterday I sent the whole controller to NI and Wisnu emailed me at the same night, telling me that my controller is working fine. Suspect is my Universal Motion Controller (UMI) spoiled. Really going to get crazy soon. PJ is not far from uni...ok...yet, is super dupper far ok...and I never get allowance for travelling...sigh...

Really got no mood for work now...just got my new flash (Nissin Di-622). Will be writing a review about it later then. For now, the performance is satisfied. And decided in last minutes working for this weekend PC fair...stop working with Fuji for so long, not really confidence this time, don't think I can perform well this time~~

Finger cross for my machine, my Literature Review, my Camera, my PC fair...hope I can counter all the problems by the end of this month...and MORE MEDITATION...

Had a storm in the evening and lightning stroked my area and caused blackout. Although, this time nothing is "burnt" but my poor router is giving me problem again. It cannot route the internet from WAN port...my guess is the WAN port is dead...I tried to restart both the router and modem; I even tried to reconfigure the router...It just not responding...argg...I tot I will need to get a new router AGAIN...sign...

Things changed after dinner and online session in the office after dinner. Reached home at around 130am and thinking of giving a last try on the router...change the WAN port to one of the route port...wow...magic...it actually works...phew...=_=...dun need to waste my time to go down the mines for exchange the under warranty router...

WOW...for so long the lovely TTS6 has not been as quiet as today...Since the beginning of last sem, my "lovely house mate" has brought all their friend over for internet session...and for the past ~5months, my house is like CC all day long...and u can imagine 5-8 ppl playing the bloody DOTA in such a small house...end up like a pasar...I can take it the noise they made, but I really cant stand how dirty are them....really give up on them adi...never appreciate the ease I provide to them...halo...own personal hygiene also cannot behold mer...rubbish can just throw on the floor...after pee just left the toilet bowl with drips of their left over?WTH...got pipe for you there and how hard to water it away??aiz...

Anyway...few more weeks I will be saying so long to you guyz...as you guyz are not deserve to stay here...
